Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Type Daily app for iPhone and iPad and the Type Daily website (together, the "Service"), operated by Type Daily ("us", "we", or "our"). By downloading, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

The Service

Type Daily is a calendar that sets every day in a different open-source typeface, with widgets for the Home Screen and Lock Screen. Each day's font is chosen by us and may download from Google Fonts the first time the day comes into view, so parts of the Service need a network connection.

Fonts

• The typefaces shown in the Service belong to their designers and are distributed under the SIL Open Font License. Your use of a font outside the Service is governed by that license, not by these Terms.
• Font details such as designer, class, and license are provided for reference. We try to keep them accurate but do not guarantee it. Check a font's own license before relying on it in your work.
• You may share and save images of days made with the Service for any lawful purpose.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to engage in, promote, or attempt any of the following (the list is representative and not exhaustive):

• Any unlawful activity, including violation of any laws, statutes, ordinances, or regulations;
• Probing, overloading, disrupting, or circumventing the technical safeguards of the Service, its purchases, or its infrastructure;
• Using automated means to access the Service or extract data from it;
• Reselling or redistributing the Service or access to it.

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for violations of this policy.

Intellectual Property

The Service, including its source code, design, logos, graphics, and the selection and schedule of its daily typefaces, is owned by us or our licensors and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. The fonts themselves remain their designers' under their own licenses. You may not copy, distribute, modify, decompile, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from the Service without our prior written permission.

Purchases and Subscriptions

Some features, including turning back through more days, bookmarks, and widgets, require Type Daily Pro, an auto-renewing yearly subscription purchased through the App Store. Prices are shown before purchase. New subscribers may be offered a free trial. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase, or when a free trial ends. The subscription renews automatically unless it is canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it in your Apple Account settings. Payment, renewal, and cancellation are also subject to Apple's terms. Except where required by law, purchases are non-refundable.

Availability and Force Majeure

We aim to keep the Service available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. The Service depends on third parties such as Google Fonts and the App Store that may fail, change, or impose limits outside our control. When a font cannot download, the app sets the day in a font that ships with it instead. We will not be liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "as is", "as available", and "with all faults" basis. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we make no representations or warranties about the reliability, suitability, or accuracy of the Service or any content within it, and we disclaim all warranties regarding the Service and its operation.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, punitive, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service or any content made available through it. You agree not to hold us liable for losses arising out of events beyond our reasonable control.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold us harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys' fees, made by any third party due to or arising out of your breach of these Terms, your use of the Service, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is determined to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision shall be enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, and the unenforceable portion shall be deemed severed. The validity of the remaining provisions shall not be affected.

Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time, effective upon posting an updated version on this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. We also reserve the right to modify or discontinue features of the Service at our discretion.
